Sami and Matt went on their first date in May of 2023. They went to Puttery in West Loop. Followed by some drinks at Fox Bar in SoHo House. Sami was very nervous as she already knew a little bit about Matt.

You are probably wondering... How does she know him before their first date??

Their family friend told her about him a few months prior while she was going on about how tired she was of the dating apps. She hinted at her friends saying "If you have anyone for me, let a girl know!" That was when Matt was first introducted into Sami's world. Let me tell you, she was smitten. Sami reallyyy wanted to meet Matt, but Matt specifically told his parents that he does NOT want to be set up with anyone. He wanted to meet someone organically.

While defeated, Sami jokingly was ready to track down where he grocery shopped, worked out, whatever she could do! To make it an "organic" meeting for Matt.

But low and behold... Fate was on their side.

During those few months before the beginning of a beautiful love story, Sami was becoming more and more impatient with the men on her dating app. Bad date after bad date. It was a Saturday, and Sami decided to check the app one more time before she deleted it forever. She was ready to throw in the towel.

THEN she sees it. A new "like" from a guy named Matt. She could not believe her eyes!! "Is this REALLY him?!?!" She frantically texts her family friend asking if this was THE Matt... I think you know what happened next.
